How version numbers work

Each version has three numbers: major.minor.fix.

Several improvements released together share one version.

This history starts with the earliest verified release records available, September 14, 2026. Earlier version numbers were assigned when this changelog was created; they were not displayed in the app at the time. Historical dates describe recorded changes, not the original launch of XAO DAO.

v1.20.1 Easier sign-in and cleaner proposal views
  • The Use wallet address button now appears only after you open your proposal, keeping the main proposal tiles easier to read.
  • The app opens Xaman sign-in when you click Connect. If your browser blocks the window, it explains how to allow pop-ups and retry. Expired authorization also offers a retry.
  • Completed Xaman authorization no longer shows a false sign-in timeout while the app checks your membership.
  • The changelog header now uses the current XAO DAO logo without the outdated period.
v1.20.0 Clearer wallet sign-in and membership help
  • A wallet without a membership now shows a clear result with options to use the wallet you joined with, contact support or continue membership setup.
  • Verification failures show a retry option instead of returning you to a connection loop. Pending Xaman requests recover when you return to the same browser.
  • Phone sign-in guidance helps you finish in the same browser and choose the wallet you used to join.
v1.19.2 Aligned forum header on phones
  • The forum logo sits directly below the version bar on phones, with the extra gap removed.

  • The app header once again shows the colored XAO DAO icon alongside its name, matching the forum.
  • On phones, the logo sits below the visible app version and changelog link.
v1.19.0 App history and transparent proposal editing
  • See the app version prominently at the top of the site and click it to read what has changed.
  • Explore a plain-language history of improvements, with a consistent numbering system for future releases.
  • Edit your own proposal before voting starts, including its title, category, description and PDF. Scheduled voting dates stay fixed.
  • Edited proposals show the latest edit time. An optional reason stays on the tile until voting begins; the change-log icon beside Edit opens retained revisions and earlier PDFs.
v1.18.0 More control over your own proposals
  • De-list a proposal you submitted before its voting period begins. The proposal record and PDF are retained.
  • Replace your profile name and photo with your full wallet address on an existing proposal, including after voting starts. This changes proposal attribution, not the PDF or your public profile.
v1.17.2 Easier sharing on phones
  • The first X post draft has more room so its voting invitation and XAO DAO URL stay visible on phones.
v1.17.1 Refreshed proposal previews
  • Newly shared links request the updated proposal preview, including the PDF image and the voting invitation with the XAO DAO URL. Social sites still control their own caches.
v1.17.0 Two-post sharing on X
  • Prepare two connected X post drafts: the first contains the proposal title, voting invitation and xaodao.io; the second contains the specific proposal link.
  • Copy either draft and finish the thread in X. Every voting invitation in sharing includes a XAO DAO URL.
v1.16.0 Share proposals with their PDF previews
  • Use the circular share icon beside a proposal number to choose X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other sharing options.
  • Shared proposal pages include the title, a preview of the PDF's first page and a link inviting readers to review and vote at XAO DAO. Instagram provides an image and caption handoff.

  • Proposal tiles display a Submitted By row beneath the category and voting time, showing the submitter's profile name and picture or full wallet address.
  • Corrected the submission error that blocked otherwise valid proposal PDF uploads.

  • Connect an X account through X's sign-in flow and display the verified profile, follower and following information.
